I’m a true girly girl at heart. I love getting dressed up and hitting the town. I can’t help it, it’s in my blood. I’m also a girl that hates to shop. I view it as a chore, rather than a joyous experience. It doesn’t help matters that I’m petite and everything I buy must be taken in or hemmed. I own very few dress clothes because of this and a majority of the dresses I own are strapless. Although this is not because strapless dresses tend to make a guys heart beat faster, but because straps just never fare well for me. I could write pages how clothes just don’t fit me perfectly, but I’ll refrain from that and show some of my top picks that I hope I will be able to incorporate into my wardrobe in the future. All the dresses from this collection came from Forever 21 one of my favorite stores to hit up every now and then.
Sequins. You grow to love them after awhile. I mean I used to do the dance recital thing and my mentality was always the more sequins and sparkles the better. Although, that mentality is left for the stage, it’s not something I could ever do in public; I’m past the age of junior high. Sequins to this effect are okay by me.
Everyone needs a sexy little black dress. I’m not a fan of how fitted it is, it makes my boobs look bigger than normal and hugs in places I’d rather not have it hug. Maybe by the time summer rolls around I’d be ready to done this little black dress on my body, but don’t count on it.
Again, Strapless. I can never get away from strapless, mostly because I know they fit and my boobs will fit into most of them. When you’ve been gifted by your grandparents/relatives in the boob department it becomes a hassle to fit them. Plus, Paps has always told me if you’ve got them flaunt them! I started listening to that advice when I was 15 and continued to listen to it up until I hip the ripe old age of 22. Now, I rarely show off the extra boobage, unless I’m going out on a date (to an extent).
I love the cut of this dress. Crazy how I’d think something with roses around the neck is cute, but it’s funny how your taste changes over the years into something more sophisticated.
