Ummmm…What The?!

Really?!  Some people have too much time on their hands these days.  I must say there are a few vehicles in this great land of Oklahoma that are definitely a sign to see.  Maybe this is one of those things that happen only in Oklahoma?  I’m just not sure.

P.F. Changs Knows Exactly What to Say

I #love P.F. Changs.  Normally, when I find myself on the north side of the city and I’m in the neighborhood of this lovely eatery, I have to stop in and grab my favorite Gluten Free treats.  Sometimes Mom will join me, which means I get my fortune read to me.  The fortune cookies there are chalked full of gluten and since I’d rather not risk getting gluten into my system, I usually don’t get a fortune cookie when I stop by myself.

…but on this day…I got all excited seeing this.

When Parents Descend

Don’t you just love parents who descend on your house and drink all your good lemonade.  I started with a full jug and by the end of the day this was all I was left with.  Now, I’ve gotta trek to the store and buy more lemonade since this stuff goes a little too quickly around these parts.

Pissy Beer

My goodness.  A good beer is hard to come by and one that doesn’t taste like piss is even harder to find.  So far, I haven’t found anything remotely close to a good beer.  I’ve found all sorts of liquor, but once in a great moon I’d like to have a beer with my pizza.  Wouldn’t you?  I realize I haven’t been the beer drinker — ever.  It’s just one of those things that you’re realizing you “can’t” have any more, which meaks you want it that much more.

Weird…Fancy…Think I Need Some

I’ve already added Vibram Fiver Fingers on my list for Santa this year.  Hopefully he’ll take not and get me a pair of PINK ones….I’m requesting them in a Size 5, Santa.  So, if you’re reading my blog….these will be PERFECT!!

Meet Stoops

Beau-tiful.  Shiny.  Black. Smells of *new* Coach.  AND Best of all….”it” is not an “it”, “it has a name.  Wow, that was almost too many its for one sentence. :)  Its name is Stoops, named only after the greatest football coach of the past decade!  Although, this OU girl is biased about these OU things, so what?

OKC was lucky enough to build an Outlet Mall, which opened a few months ago.  I was lucky enough to take a trip to our new mall with a few friends the other day.  The only place I even wanted to go was the new Coach store, so go I did.  The last time I had gone to a Coach Outlet was in Destin when Roomie & I went, so I was really looking forward to this store.  Let’s just say it’s wasn’t as great as Destin, but I had fun a good time anyway.

I walked out with a new Coach handbag & wallet.  This girl is on cloud 9, plus my iPad will actually stow away inside this thing too.  I love that this thing not only suffices as my new purse, but I can carry my geeky toy everywhere I go.

Cowgirl Up

My goodness, I LOVE my new boots.  They’re unlike anything I’ve ever purchased.  Mostly because I’ve never purchased boots before.  Mostly because my feet are in flip flops nearly 24/7.  I’ve barely had these a week and already I’ve worn them more than I have of my flops so far.  Aren’t they the cutest things you’ve ever seen?

I haven’t seen these on anyone yet, which makes me feel just as happy as a clam.  Looking forward to all the wear I’m going to get out of these puppies.  Just have to find someone to take me dancin’ in em’.

Truck Shopping

Yesterday was spent truck shopping with my Dad.  Let’s just say after kicking the tires for almost 3hrs, he walked away with a pretty sweet ride.  It has more gizmos & gadgets than I can explain to him right now, so we’re taking it one step at a time.  Just explaining the Bluetooth took time, I’m still explaining that darn Bluetooth.

I think he’s going to really enjoy this truck.  He made phone calls all the way home last night.  Finally he called me from his truck, I didn’t recognize the number on the phone and answered it anyway.  Low & behold – he had called me from OnStar.  Silly Dad.  Turns out his phone was having problems and he couldn’t get through.  He said his phone would turn on & the shut off, the Bluetooth was failing.  I was very puzzled by this.  Finally, I told him – get home & plug your phone into the charger.  Wouldn’t you know, he ran the battery down on his phone!  That goober.  I don’t think he’s ever completely ran the battery down on his phone. I have a feeling we’re going to have to get him a car charger now, cause he’s really enjoying the Bluetooth.  The remote start is also a favorite too, after I showed him how to work it.  Pictures to come of the new Beast.

Lambic Framboise

I found out back in July that I liked Framboise, the Raspberry kind.   At $8 a glass from a certain college hangout, I knew I needed to fix this habit with something a little less expensive.   I was happy I found this, it’s $8 a BOTTLE.  Needless to say I will be drinking THIS here at home and will have to find something different on the drink list at the hang out elsewhere.

**I hardly ever drink, but when I do I’ll be prepared with this in hand.

…the best drink to date…

Oh What a Day

I write this – we’re cruising down I-35 towards Old Navy.  Hopefully I can find some “free internet” while we’re in OKC shopping.

Roomie & I had some pretty eventful happenings yesterday.

To start, we both got our oil changed & tires rotated (pretty sure mine was long overdue, but what can you do).   It was quite the productive day.  Did some Wal-Mart shopping and even spent my $20 gift card Bath & Body Works sent me because my Wallflower was growing mold.   Yes, I said mold.

I must say I’m newly addicted to Need A Margarita Shower Gel.  It’s fabulous.   They did come out with a few new scents.   Roomie picked up the new Butterfly Flowers and Shore Breeze for wallflower refills.   Shore Breeze smells like a man to me and well, Roomie looooves the smell of men – so it’s a perfect.

This just in – Miley Cyrus – The Climb is amazing! It’s on the radio in the car right now.

Ahem, Old Navy has been awesome on giving it’s customers great deals.  Yesterday, we managed to snag a few items at 50% off.   New deals came out last night – at 2AM.  Roomie stayed up to snag those coupons {$50 off $100 purchase}.   I know, I couldn’t believe it either.  We didn’t go to bed til’ well after 3AM.   We had to watch the news after coupon hunting because of all the fires that have seemed to take Oklahoma over.   Nothing serious happened, there were just a lot of sirens and a mysterious green light flashing behind our edition.

Christmas Came Early for Ellie

For those keeping count.  This is Ellie’s 3rd pet bed.  She totaled the first one we got her.  She started demoing the second one we got her (we took that one back) and now finally we found her one that is indestructable!  Seriously, this pet bed is much better and cooler than both of the beds Roomie & I sleep in at night!  Honestly, did you ever consider giving a dog a bed with memory foam?!  Roomie & I did sit on & lay all over this bed before we gave it to Ellie.
Now the munchkin has found that this new thing to lay on is hers.  I have hardly been able to get her off of it all day.  Lazy bones.  I hear Santa is bringing her a stocking full of toys and chew bones too.
I have no idea what made little miss so tired.  She absolutely loves her new bed and if I can’t find her this is now the first place I look.  If we throw more than one blanket on top of the bed she’ll drag them all over until they’re perfectly positioned and she can curl up under them.  Yes, I said under.  She’s a super spoiled dog and I am willing to admit that.

Tutu.Cute.Designs

One of Nicole’s friends is having a giveaway.  She decorated Taylor & Heidi’s room in Lady Bugs, Drew’s room is done in Tonka Trucks & Whitney’s is in this amazing tree w/flowers & a white picket fence!  Roomie & I have met her and she does some of the most amazing work.

She does live in Arkansas, but doesn’t charge over rated shipping charges.  It’s a good thing for all you blog readers that have kiddos of your own out there.  Her link is on my Blog Reel on my page & I have also enclosed a link Tutu.Cute.Designs so you can check out what she has.  Everything is custom made by her and the finished product is even more spectacularly than what you originally thought it would be!

….so when I have kids….I’m definitely getting my daughter or daughters their own tutu.  I grew up dancing and loved dressing up in costumes, I’m sure the future kidlets will too.

A Day of Shopping for Ellie

We (Ellie & I) both had a good day shopping.   We mostly got out of the house to allow time for Roomie to study for a quiz tomorrow for her class.   Although it was all for Ellie, I say we did very well.   We went to PetCo to return a hairbrush and found out that PetSmart had their crates on sale and PetCo didn’t have any in stock or else they would have honored their prices.   So, Ellie & I load up and head to PetSmart.  We wound up with a crate for $10.00 off the sticker.  What an amazing deal, definitely better than craigslist!

Then I asked Roomie what the pet bed looked like at Target and Ellie & I both headed there.  Roomie described it perfectly (it was on SALE), I bought it and it’s currently on the floor in my room, waiting on the Ellie to occupy it.

She did ride in it the entire way home in the backseat mind you.   Usually she looks out the window or walks back & forth in the seat looking out, but not today.   She just layed in her bed and took a nap while I drove home.

On a funny note.  While we were at PetCo I had a little boy come up to me and ask if he could pet my dog.  I said yes, bent down with the boy and we both started petting her.   He asked if she would grow anymore and be a big dog like his cocker spaniel (he’s 3 or 4 years old).  I said no, Ellie was done growing & the boy got all excited because Ellie was going to be a puppy forever!  haha.   He leaves and goes to look at dog stuff with his mother.  Before Ellie & I leave he rushes up to me and asks if he can tell the puppy bye.   I say yes and told Ellie to “Come here bubby”.  He looked at me and said I know the puppy’s name!   It’s Bubby!  lol.  I said no, it’s Ellie.   Then Ellie went crazy licking his hand and I guess it tickled cause he started laughing.   He then had to blow a kiss to Ellie when he left the store.   It cracked me up seeing him do that.  I had to call Roomie & tell her what happened and we both had a good laugh.
