Sheryl Crow & James Blunt

As promised I have a few vidos of Sheryl Crow & James Blunt.    The concert started at 7P with a reggae band, James Blunt started at 8P & Sheryl Crow hit the stage around 9Pish.  The concert was a whopping 5 hours long (if you’d believe it).

I actually thought the concert was amazing and had no idea if I’d truly like James Blunt, but guess what…I LOVE HIM!!   His music is wonderful & I couldn’t wait to get home to listen to some more.  I’m in awe, plus the guy isn’t too shabby looking either.  He bounced around on the stage, jumped off a few of the props on stage & even his piano!  BUT, the TRUE highlight of this evening was…
…..touching James Blunt’s hand!  I kid you not! Roomie thought I was full of it until I told her it REALLY did happen.   Roomie & I saw him jump off the stage, run down an aisle on the other side of us, cut across the top & then RUN DOWN OUR AISLE!!  Talk about an OMG (Oh My Gosh) moment.   With being the last seat in our row I was closest to the aisle, so I sprinted over to where he’d come down & popped out my hand, screaming all the while.   He had the “dear in headlights” look because there were soooo many people blocking the aisle trying to make him touch/slap their hand as he went by.  It was MARVELOUS.   I turned around to Roomie & jumped in glee (screaming/yelling too) that I did get to touch him (she STILL thinks I’m wacko).

I may have a new “Randy Travis” obsession now.  (Randy’s CD is wonderful, you seriously need to check it out.)  Except it will be with James Blunt…..so without further adieu, here is the man of the HOUR!!

Sheryl Crow was great.   Roomie & I barely knew some of her songs, but we knew the older ones that were popular in our Junior High/High School days, which was a plus.  She looked really good and sounded great too.   She raved about Wyatt (her 15mo old son) and how he made out with Mitch the Sea Lion today at the OKC Zoo.

Then the man of the hour appeared on stage with Sheryl Crow & of course it was nothing but screaming when he did so.  Although you can hear my voice (very off key) but ignore it & listen to Sheryl Crow & James Blunt belting it out….totally another OMG moment.

***Special thanks to James & Ann for allowing us to take part in this….it was AMAZING & THANK YOU!!!****

God of Wonders

GOD OF WONDERS

This is for my cousin’s friend Melinda, whom we’ve known since we were kids. Nicole’s husband; Josh. They performed this song in their church last week and by the sound of it they ALL did an amazing job. Josh is the last one on the left, followed by Bryan & Ashley (Josh’s sister & brother-in-law).

July 15th, Mark Your Calendars!

I just found out that Randy Travis will be releasing a new CD on July 15th.   I’m excited and everyone should know what I will be doing on that day.  I’ve been listening to some of the new releases on his site and I LOVE IT!   Not that I wouldn’t love anything he did, but WOW!

If he ever makes it back to OKLAHOMA I will be going, just as long as I can sit close to the stage and gaze at the sweat beads on his forehead. lol

*Roomie is not happy about my new found favorite songs*

Apple TV II…Meet Randy

A teeny tiny bit of obsession.  I know every one of y’all know the ONE person I’ve consistently had a crush on for the better part of my life has been this guy.  Thank to Apple TV, I’m now able to play all 262 songs by dear ole’ Randy….now….if I could just rig speakers to play from my TV in my entire house.  That would be thrilling and make this college girl oh so happy!  For now though, I’ll deal with cranking my TV until I get that high paying job after college graduation.  THEN…I’ll really be jamming out.
