Netflix + Randy = L.O.V.E.

Have we all figured out that I have an addiction to Randy Travis, yet?  If not, well maybe you should be feelin’ those effects shortly.  Because you see…Randy Travis is on NETFLIX!  Yes, I’m talking 24/7 live concert in my living room and occasionally when I feel the need to turn the TV up, through my whole house.  Like I said, maybe y’all will notice  I sorta kinda like this guy.

For the time being I’m enjoying my 24/7 concert of Randy Travis and I’m crossing my fingers some concerts for Oklahoma/Texas will pop up on his website soon.  Maybe I’ll even one up 2012 and even meet my love interest I’ve been pining over for years and years now.  Just have to wait and see *wink* *wink*

My New Favorite Song!

Okay…first and foremost I’m a country girl….as in 24/7.  Although, after hearing this song on Spotify today, I am a fan.  I have some of Colbie’s songs already — but WOW, this is a must to have now.  No hidden meaning y’all.  I’m still very much a single college girl….no plans for anything but that at the moment.

HBD to….ME!

In honor of my birthday….I thought I’d share my favorite artist with y’all.  Surprise….Surprise.  Here’s to another fabulous year

….because I’m Not Sure Y’all Got Enough of Justin Moore…

Justin Moore :: More Videos {Surprising Yet?}

Justin Moore :: Video Galore

Justin Moore Overload

In Reverse Order…..mostly because I don’t want to take the time to sort through 17 pics of this Justin Moore Overload madness….  Just flip through this post and you’ll see what I mean.

The bar didn’t sell water…I’m allergic to everything else….so I just dehydrated myself the entire night.  Not cool!

Those are some pretty swanky boots don’t ya think?  I’m a little certain I need some snake skin boots…you just never know when I might need them or what I might need them for.  At least that’s what happened when I bought my first pair of boots…

Oh buddy.  This chica is still on Cloud 9.  I mean, WHO gets to stand || this || close to Justin Moore?  It’s beyond me how I ever wound up on the front row to this guy.  I’m still in awe.

Wowie.  Now, this is CLOSE.  Right?  Y’all can be jealous of my concert going skills, I certainly am.

He’s a great singer and puts on quite the show…just wait for the videos you’ll be seeing over the next few days.  Y’all are sure to enjoy them!

Wanna kiss him?  I’m still kicking myself I didn’t….but on the other hand…he IS a married man and I’m certain I would’ve felt awful afterwards.

His awesome guitar player…he certainly was a cutie that’s for sure.

Ummmm…..I see the stage….do you?

Beer spewing everywhere on stage.  Hell Yeah!  Roomie definitely would’ve wanted to go home directly after this though.

Is it me or does everyone gravitate towards my direction?  Let’s just say it’s ME….it’ll make my day.

You should’ve seen these two jam.  It was similar to the dueling banjos, but less annoying and soooo fun to watch.  I went wild.

Can’t go to a country concert and not have an ass shot.  It just doesn’t happen in my world.  Glad I can give everyone else a good chuckle about my photo taking skills.

He’s really not that close.  Haha!

Now, if I could talk him into coming over and singing directly to ME.  But, alas that didn’t happen and I still went home very happy with a huge smile on my face.  Just look above and you’ll see what I’m talking about.

After looking at this photo, I’m sure glad I didn’t get a guitar dropped on my head or the guitar player didn’t decide to start really getting into the groove and bonk me in the head in the process.  That would’ve sucked!

It’s BEER TIME.  Locked & loaded.  This was truly a great concert, very easy going and I had a blast.

Singing.  Greatest moment of my life.  Such a great concert and put the concerts at the Ford Center outta business if you ask me.  Not sure I’ll ever going to a huge concert again.

Justin Moore :: Part Uno

So…I can officially cross off seeing Justin Moore live in concert and a damn good concert it was too.  It will have to be done again and again in a setting such as this.  Way better than those smokey and light show concerts you pay for.

Ummmmm…..perfection.  This girl was super duper happy all night long.  So glad I got to experience this with two other amazing people!

Singing every word…just because I knew all of his songs.

Look at the crowd.  Think we got into the concert?

Good Golly.  One of the best views I’ve had…minus Dustin Lynch & Justin Moore.  Loved this night.

Cowboy butt….my God….I love this guy.  He may be 5 ’6, but he sure knows how to make me scream.  Hahahaha!

Hell yeah!  Having a good time.  Doesn’t it show?

Oh buddy.  Who is HE looking at?  Any ideas??  I have ONE…..MEEEEEEEE.

He touched my hand many many times….and I can’t promise I didn’t scream my head off or have one of those goofy girl smiles on my face.

Hottie guitar player.  I had the best views all night long.  Thank you to the fact that I’m short and squeezed my way all the way to the front.  I think I’ll thank my genetics for this concert.  What do you think?

Close.  Yes.  Jealous.  You should be.  I would be jealous.  I am jealous of me and what happened this night.

Dustin Lynch :: Wowie…He’s Got a *NEW* Fan

Since you’re not Roomie and have no idea how I act at concerts, let me fill you all in on just how wild I get.  Although, I wouldn’t call it wild…maybe it’s a side of this college girl that rarely pops out.  Not sure what to choke that one up to.  Let’s just say Roomie Once upon a Time …banned me from attending all concerts with her.  You see we saw Dirks Bentley, Keith Urban & Kenny Chesney in concert the year I graduated from High School…eons ago.  I screamed….whooped and hollared…and had a great time.  Actually, I came out of the Ford Center reeking of beer even though I had none.  I had a great time, Roomie did not.  I had agreed to see Jessica Simpson with her if she ever came to OKC if she went to this concert with me.  Low and behold, Jessie came to town.  Which meant I had to go sit through her concert with Roomie — I wasn’t impressed.  Now, I’m banned from seeing concerts with Roomie and thus, had no one to go with me ever again….except my Momma —- who understands my love and uber attraction to Randy Travis.

The opening act to Justin Moore, Dustin Lynch.  He’s a great artist and I’m really looking forward to acquiring his CD when it comes out AND seeing him in concert more.  Hopefully by the time that rolls around I’ll be dating a country fella who loves to go to these types of concerts.  Fingers are tightly crossed!

It sure felt like he was singing in my direction the entire night.  Pretty sure I’m right….

One of my many new favorite songs by him.  Take a listen and you’ll see what I’m taking about, he’s beyond awesome!!

I’m not going to stick captions with all the photos…just take a look for yourself.  He was all over the stage and put on one of the greatest shows I’d ever seen.

Just a short video…wish he would’ve come closer….but then again….there’s always next time.

Can’t touch or wash my hand now!  HE TOUCHED MY FREAKIN’ HAND.  Excuse me while I get a little wound up over this….I was 9 kinds of happy and felt like a wee little kid on Christmas.

Would you just look at him.  All kinds of yummyness….and the best part is….he touched and held my hand.  Sure, there are a lot of girls who fawn over this guy…but I’m extremely happy I got to see someone new in concert.  Made my week!

Great show, Dustin!  Can’t wait for you to come back to Okie Land again.  Majorly excited for his new CD release in a few months….although I’m gonna have a tough time waiting on the release.  His music is just THAT good.

How could one girl be THIS excited for a concert.  Beats me.  Although, I’m almost positive it has to do with the fact that I’ve never done this sorta thing in my life.  Sure, I’d been to concerts growing up.  Sure,  I’ve been front and center before.  I’ve done it all, but getting to live it up and be me…this is what I love!

The coveted Set List for Justin Moore…..get ready y’all the next few posts are sure to be CrAzY.  You just might get a feel for my *love* for country music then……

Concert Madness

First off, I’m a HUGE country music fan.  I’m mostly an old school listener, but on occasion, I’ll listen to the new stuff.  For instance, Justin Moore.  Thank goodness for Facebook cause there just isn’t any way I could have done without this concert.  Especially after y’all see the photos I got.  To.  Die.  For.  I had soooo much fun hanging out on a weeknight at an ole’ country bar.  Made my week actually.  I’m going to try and work on getting videos and as many photos of this concert as I can up and going.  I wanna remember this event too, so I’m sure it might go just a tad overboard at times :)   Thanks for understanding!

Sound checking everything…making sure everything is perfect for the concert.  To say I was a little on edge and overly excited was a tad bit of an understatement.  Ha!

Lights go down and the stage is being set up.  Wasn’t really happy with where I was at…I’m 4 ’10 everyone, I can’t see over everyone.  You’ll see just where I wound up later on.  I’m quite confident it’ll blow you away as to how close I got to see both boys who played that night.

I was a little more than excited.  :)  Thankfully, Roomie didn’t go as I’m sure she would’ve been embarrassed by my hoopin’ and hollarin’ all night long.  I’m not a wild girl by any means, but I do like to have fun sans alcohol.  I’m very grateful for the friends that like country music just as much as I do.  If I didn’t, well I wouldn’t be going to any concerts — ever.

Bobbie Sue & Trevs.  They know how to put up with my little left of center goofy side and do well at poking fun of me too.  Pretty sure they had just as much fun at the concert as I did.  Love you guys!

We picked up a stray on the way to the concert.  Trevs works on the way to the concert and because we had a little bit of a drive and ate before the concert meant that we had to leave a little early —- we had to have good seats you know.

Think He’ll Marry Me?

So….Randy Travis is going through a divorce.  That may be a total shock to some — but to me I’m STOKED.  What’s so great about that, you ask?  Well the simple fact of the matter is — he’ll be single…I’m single…and I’ve always had a crush on him.  When I say always, I mean always.  Since I could walk & talk practically.

I’ve had the liberty of seeing RT in concert twice.  All thanks to my Mom for going.  Roomie didn’t see it fit that she attend on account I’m in love with this guy & there would be major screaming involved.  Her loss.

I truly think he’s one of the greatest singer/songwriters.  He’s written some pretty amazing stuff in the last 20 years and he’s still recording.  I still get all giddy and excited every time I hear something new he’s written.

The first concert I went to a long time ago.  Let’s just say I walked away with over 600 photos of that night.  I was a little more than on Cloud 9.

Jason Aldean :: One of my Favs

….just one of those songs you wanna sing at the top of your lungs while driving fast but safe down the interstate, while you’re all soapy in the shower, or just cranked up blaring from your Apple TV.  Either way, this is a great song for those just because moments.  JA, please come back to Okie Land — I really want to see you this time around.

Bummed over Randy Travis

I’m bummed I won’t be making it to my third Randy Travis concert.   He is going to be playing next Sunday about 45 minutes away from my house.   I wanna go so bad, but because I have a huge crush on him, my sister thinks I’m a bit of a crazy woman so she has refused to go.  Now that I think about it, she always refuses to go to see Randy in concert.   I have drug my mom to see him numerous times and she’s been a great sport about it too.

Instead of hearing his amazing voice live, I’m going to have to settle for the 218 songs on my iPod.   Yes, there are 218 Randy Travis songs, but I’m sure I don’t have them all.  I do hope he stops back in OK during the end of his tour.  Maybe then I’d be able to talk someone into going that doesn’t realize just how bad my obsession with this old man is.

Crank it Up!

So I’ve heard this song multiple times this week while driving to & from class.  Every time the radio gets cranked almost all the way up & I sing aloud at the top of my voice.  I kid you not.  Every Single Time. Enjoy! I know I sure do!

Matt Kennon : The Call

I fell in love with this song when I heard it on GAC the other day.  He’s no Randy Travis, but I really do like his voice….almost like Jeff Bates.  It brought me to tears when I heard it the first time & immediately had to go download it & search for the video.  What an amazing song!  Take a listen – I posted the lyrics to it as well.

Today was gonna be the day
He´d already wrote the note
And parked that Chevrolet
At the end of that dead end road
Had his finger on the trigger; just about to end everything
He was taking one last long breathe; when he heard his cell phone ring

And his best friends say man where you been?
We´re headed down to the lake this weekend
You better not miss it ´cause buddy I swear
It won´t be the same If you aint there
And i told that girl that you like so much
You were coming along and her eyes lit up
I better let you go man i really hope i didnt catch you in the middle of anything
He said you kinda did but i don´t mind at all
I´m glad you called

In another town down the road
In the backseat of a car
Two 18 year olds had let a kiss go to far
He said how are we gonna have this child
When were both headed off to school?
He convinced her late one night there´s only one thing to do
She was scared to death in that waiting room
When the nurse asked how far along are you
She said 5 weeks and just about then her phone lit up
And his call came in
Saying baby i was wrong about everything
I´ve already bought you a diamond ring we´ re gonna start a life
Would you be my wife
Boy or girl; pink or blue; yeah either way
All she could say as she felt those tear drops falls was
I´m so glad you called

If someone you know is waiting on your mind
And needs a friend on the other end line
Don´t hesitate what you say may seem so small
But who knows
They might be glad you called

So make the call

Yeah make that call

He Still Makes My Heart Pitter Patter

I realize I have many gross crushes to some.  I mean, Kevin Costner; although he’s dreamy, he doesn’t make me speechless.  I talked to good ole’ Kevin for all of 10 minutes or so, but it was a long 10 minutes.  I didn’t expect and neither did the crew he was with.  Wish I had a recording of his voice, but not as much as I want a recording of this one….

I still would give anything to marry this guy.  Anything in the world. But, alas, he’s taken.  Except, I have dreams & hopes that one day I’ll be able to meet him & I won’t be speechless.  Maybe I’ll tell him the story about a table & the determination of a 2 year old to marry at such a young age?

Kevin Costner: the Recap

For a Tuesday morning, my day started very early.  I was up around 10AM and started getting ready to see Kevin Costner around 11.  Yes, I’m being serious.  I curled my hair WITH a curling iron & I thought it looked cute despite it taking over an hour to curl my hair.  Why on Earth did I do that, my hair is naturally curly as it is.

I was at Wal-Mart by 2PM in Moore to hopefully get a glimpse of Kevin Costner or even better, get my CD signed. {Yes, I bought his amazing CD} I stood in line for about 2 hours until I finally got to see him.   I chatted with some people behind me and in front of me, although Roomie wanted no part of my new music obsession…or maybe it was the fact dear ole’ Kevin ranks right up there with Randy Travis.

When I finally came closer to seeing him, my hands started sweating, my heart started really beating & I got nervous.   I thought, man it’s great that I don’t have a heart monitor on, the doc would think something was seriously wrong.  haha.  I laid my CD’s out on the table like I was asked and chatted with a few of the band members while walking down the line of members til’ I got to Kevin.

I, in no way was wearing a “boob” shirt while at Wal-Mart, but the following happened.   One of the band members asked if my scar was from open-heart surgery, I said yes.  He then yells down to Kevin Costner “Hey Kevin, this one’s had heart surgery, better not give her a heart attack.”   Kevin just stared, guess he thought the guy was kidding!   As I made my way to the new heart throb, Kevin LOOKED AT MY CHEST and then back up at me.  {Hooray, he looked at my boobs!}   He states “You had heart surgery, really?”  I replied with a simple yes and that it occured 22 years ago {I know, I can’t believe it’s been that long either!}.   To which he replied “You must have been a baby!”  Which lead to, “No, I was actually 3.”  There’s a difference between being a baby and a 3 year old…right?  I asked if I could have a photo op with him & he obliged =) I have now found out, that he wasn’t posing with any fans for photos, so I got lucky.  The conversation ended and I told him I’d see him that night.   The Wal-Mart employee pulled me aside and said I was the first one that actually made him talk and held a conversation with him.  Awwwww.   He didn’t really sound like I thought, he was very mellow and spoke really softly, not like the other bandmates.

I waited in line over 2+hrs, was one of 250 people who got their things signed & had a photo op with Kevin.   To me, the wait was worth it and yes, I’d do it all over again in a heartbeat if I had to.

Needless to say I’m on cloud 9.  Both my phone & computer background have “the” photo of the two of us.

This is where my palms started sweating.  My heart started racing.  My face was flushed red.  I was nervous and excited to meet “the” Kevin Costner.  You know, the man I’ve had a slight crush on since I first saw Field of Dreams.  Yes, that movie was during my time.  I’m starting to think I have a “thing” for old guys, you know guys like Randy Travis, Kevin Costner and Harrison Ford.  Mmmmmm….day dreaming moment.

Bobby Yang & Teddy Morgan :: The amazing fiddle/violin player, Bobby Yang.  His fiddle skills are ahhhhhmazing!  I can say fiddle, right?  I am a true Okie and we just don’t use words like violin.  That sounds just waaaay too official and sophisticated.  Too bad I didn’t stick with the fiddle, I could be going places and doing things.  But, I’m a dropout.  I chose a different path in my Oklahoma life.

Blair Forward & John Coinman :: I have these two guys to thank for the comment made about giving me a heart attack and the ambulance.  They sure look like a couple of crazy jokesters to me!  At least they accomplished making me turn red and flushing my face.  No, I didn’t get embarrassed.  I just didn’t know how to react, would you?

Park Chisolm :: We were already discussing my surgery.  Each band mate had something to say, some remark to make.  Whether that be about my heart rate or the guy attractant (my scar) they all had their comments.  They didn’t bother me, mostly I either agreed or fired back something else about being dynamite or whatever else I came up with, which probably isn’t blog worthy.  Sorry, Mom!  Just before I made my way to him.  He was already chuckling over what the guys were saying about me.  Funny how I can make the entire table laugh at me or should I say my man attracting scar,  which according to the band the guy can say he’s starring at my scar instead of my boobs.  Wow.  The things these guys think of.  Crazy!

Signing MY very own copy of his CD.  He touched my copy, touched, touched, touched.  Wow.  What this guy does to my heart rate is insane.  Good thing no one knows about this, well other than you all, of course.  I promise if he ever comes across my blog, I’m not a stalker.  I’m just a college girl, with a simple crush…a crush I’ve had for 20 years or more.  Yes, ya’ll I’m old enough to have a 20 year old crush.  Which now that I think about it, that makes me sound ancient.

Squeal.  Giddyness.  Butterflies.  Roll all those into one big burrito and those were my feelings…emotions…along with a huge cheesy smile.  I couldn’t stop smiling.  Couldn’t, couldn’t, couldn’t.  I tried, but as soon as dear ole’ Kevin would look at me I’d break out in my huge smile again.  Trying to lose the smile didn’t work, sure I would’ve mortified Roomie.  Maybe I should be glad she didn’t go.  Famous smile.  Makes my heart beat fast and hard.  Pitter Patter, Pitter Patter.  Man this old man obsession is crazy.  The man is almost 30 years older than I am.  Please don’t crunch the numbers.  I’ll just dream I’m a bit older and wiser. I’m sure he thought I was nothing but a teeny bopper.  I sure was giddy enough to be a young, crazy kid.

Giddy.  If you could’ve seen the huge smile on my face I’m sure you would all be laughing.  I was in complete awe.  During the time I was conversing with him, I couldn’t ask if he’d snap a photo with me.  I can’t help it, I was so intrigued by him.  I just couldn’t stop smiling, or listening, or talking to him.  Sad isn’t it?  I’m sure he thought I was a goob, but that’s okay.  I can be a bit spastic over celebs that I have crushes on….just like good ole’ Randy Travis.

{For those who are wondering about the concert, Wormy Dog messed them up. They told me they gave them away to someone else. Which has now turned into “we looked at the wrong list, you never checked in & we’ll refund you.” Ohhh, I was m-a-d. I’m really HOPING he will stop through OK again – Tulsa maybe & I will get to see him then. For now, I’m keeping my eyes peeled on his tour dates.}

Kevin Costner Photos: Moore, OK Wal-Mart

I will post the stories of the events line waiting, heart attacking having, lingerie seeing day of fun I have had later!

For now, drop your jaws, because I met & chatted with a Super HOT guy. Be jealous. Be very very jealous.
He looks AMAZING at 54, doesn’t he.  He does to me.  He’s an amazing guy, which just makes my crush on him even worse than it already was.  Scary.

Kevin Costner & Modern West

Wooo hooo!  I’m going on February 3rd to see Kevin :)  I’m stoked.  Ann, my neighbor is going to tag along since Neighbor Boy has to work.  Yea for him, because I’m still going to have fun w/o him…haha, I mean while he’s earning a pay check & such.

It looks like I’ll be able to take photos while I’m there, so I’m going to start charging my camera battery tomorrow night {it’s dead as we speak}!  Hopefully Roomie will lend a hand to help out something cute to wear to this shin dig.

OH Yes, & IF I have time….I just might be in Moore @ Wal-Mart at 3PM to MEET Kevin Costner.  He’s stopping there on the way to the Wormy Dog Saloon in Bricktown Tuesday.  For sure if I remember this I will definitely have my camera on hand to shoot some photos & I’m pretty sure I’ll be speechless/have some goofy grin on my face/ or even just stare at the guy.

Seriously. I. Can’t. Wait.

PS:: I’ve been listening to his music like crazy…

It’s worth buying…just FYI.

I Went Nuts Over This…..

I’m still hopeful I’ll marry this guy some day….
