Can’t Sleep Without It

Anyone else out there have a fan addiction?  I do!  There is one in every single room of my house, perfect for the person who loves to play musical beds on a nightly basis.  There’s a total laughable moment.  I tend to fall asleep in whichever bedroom is closest to where I’m at…pure laziness….but its nice to shake things up every once in awhile.

Figured Out What To Do…

My bathroom is done in Zebra….and Bright Red.  I picked up this from Hobby Lobby a few months ago, hung the frame picture-less and debated about what to put in it.  A few years ago, Roomie and I took a trip to Florida (our first) and on one of our last nights on the beach we decided to use our super camera and take some great photos of how wonderful the ocean looked with tide rolling in (instead of waveless days which happened a lot or red tide waves which only happened a few times….in which I nearly lost my bikini top/bottoms a few times).

With digging through those beachy photos I found the set Roomie had taken with the waves rolling in.  I was reminded of the time the waves splashed UP my dress, playing Frisbee with some random guys on the beach (during this photo session) and of course the pina coladas that directly followed our fun times on the beach.  Oh how I miss summer vacations and the beach.

Catching Some Moonshine

…come on y’all.  Don’t take me literally here.  I’m not really a moonshine kinda girl.  Although, I’ve never personally had the stuff.  I can say it was almost always stored in the bottom cabinet at my grandparents house.  I actually thought it was water once and brought it to my Grandpa, only to be told to never touch it again.  Ha!

So I decided to lay out back while the moon was up and nice and pretty and just enjoy the view.  Enjoy the dogs chasing each other around the yard.  Enjoy the soft breeze blowing through the backyard.  Enjoy the moment I was living in.  So here I am, catching some moonshine.

One Week of Waking up Early

One word that hasn’t been used in our house since Christmas Break is Party Pooper.  I swear we haven’t gone to bed before 1AM in the past 3 weeks and am dreading waking up early to book it to class to learn something.

I made a trip to my new orthodontist.  I {heart} him.  He’s not mean like my first ortho and he doesn’t reek of all the cleaning chemicals orthos use.  He didn’t get mad over me losing my bottom retainer or having to adjust my top retainer to move my teeth back into position. I do however, will have a permanent top & bottom retainer when my treatment is all said & done.  This excites me to no end. Plus, with all the excitement I’m getting a contraption to help with my known problem of teeth grinding.  He said it looks like I’ve done a little damage {I think 24 years of this habit will cause damage to something}.

HC came to fix the rest of our house.  Our dead bolts were installed incorrectly and one was even missing a piece!  Go figure HC. There’s always something they did wrong with our house.   Up next to come to our house is the Alarm Company & the Carpet Company.  Let me tell you, I will be THRILLED when we finish with HC.  Which we almost are.  They will have to come back in the spring to patch up all the work outside, so hopefully {fingers crossed} they won’t leave us hanging again.

On to other things. We have new furniture.  Roomie & I purchased it the other evening and we both love it!  I aquired a cream antique finish glider that has amazing pink cushions {which match the flowers in my comforter}, Roomie got the same type of finish dresser for the office, a mirror with the same finish, and 2 shelves that hang on the wall.   Talk about exciting.  The furniture did come out of a nursery, but you’d never know the difference unless I told you.

Today/This weekend will be spent tidying up the house and getting things back in order from the HC Hurricane.

Apple TV II…Meet Randy

A teeny tiny bit of obsession.  I know every one of y’all know the ONE person I’ve consistently had a crush on for the better part of my life has been this guy.  Thank to Apple TV, I’m now able to play all 262 songs by dear ole’ Randy….now….if I could just rig speakers to play from my TV in my entire house.  That would be thrilling and make this college girl oh so happy!  For now though, I’ll deal with cranking my TV until I get that high paying job after college graduation.  THEN…I’ll really be jamming out.
