Merry Christmas

I’ve been indoors most of the day, but after awhile I couldn’t take it any more & took Ellie outside to play.  She looooooooves the snow.  Despite sinking into the snow, she’d hop over the “mountains” that we accumulated yesterday.  When I brought her in she had all these snow balls covering her fur, so I gave her a bath & now she’s currently running through the house like a wild woman with her Christmas Bobo.

My laptop didn’t arrive in time for Christmas.  It may get delivered tomorrow, but I have to refuse delivery since it sat in the cold all night and is now at risk for condensation.  I’m still very frustrated with UPS about this issue.  I even have to send my wine fridge back because it was shipped broken.  For now, I’m just going to save my money – spend the Amazon cash on something else & keep on going.

It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas

Before Thanksgiving had the chance to roll around I had our lights up & the inside of the house decorated.  Oh yes I did.  Roomie chose to focus on school while I chose something a bit more festive.  We went overboard with Christmas decorations last year and well this year was no different.  I completely love the way everything turned out this year.

After some hard work, I can represent my true colors.  I love being an OU student, I bleed crimson after all.

I love my yard work creation.  I’m the only one in my neighborhood that does this.  It looks fantastic and takes up the entire yard.  I loooove it.  Maybe you can see it if you fly over?

The mantle looked adorable this year.  Ellie even has her own stocking cause she’s apart of the family and we didn’t want her to be left out.

Of course you have to decorate the bathroom with a tree at least.  I mean Santa could decide to visit my bathroom instead and leave me something under my tree, right?

Day After Xmas & All Through the House

The Christmas lights are down.  All Christmas decor has been packed away in their respective bins, tubs & bags.  The only monster left to tackle is the enormous Christmas tree.  Life feels a little less cluttered, but I can only imagine what our house will look like next year.  We did get Ellie a new stocking, which matches our matching stockings.  {She is passed out in her crate, belly up at the moment.}

This household arose around 5AM this morning and didn’t quit partying until around 5PM.  Mostly because Roomie left to go to Target and I thought my bed looked GOOD.  It’s now 11:50PM and Roomie  into bed for the first time and I am getting ready to grab the iPod, start a movie and go to sleep.  It’s my nightly ritual, I fall asleep to a movie playing on my iPod.  I have no idea how on Earth I lived without this thing.

Other funny stories from this week have included.

*Dad discovering I have a iPod jack in my G6.  {note: this is not a standard piece of equipment on this model car.  I actually did some handy dandy mechanical work on my own car.}

*Roomie nearly being peed on by Hank.

*How Rudy came to live at our house.

*Finally having the question answered as to why Oklahoma bridges are all torn up.

*Riding pantless from Shawnee to Norman. {all the while having conversations about “what if” a cop pulled us over & if it’d be indecent exposure.}

How Many Christmas Trees Can One House Have?

Target had these goodies on SALE.  A whopping 40% off in store and a 20% off coupon we found online.  Roomie & I each got trees, one for my bathroom and one for the front room.  Now, we’ve just gotta buy our lights for the house for next year and we’ll be ALL set. (We will get them after Christmas so they’re 75% off).   Oh yes, what SMART college girls we are!

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree

We’ve flipped & flopped & flipped & flopped so more.  We have a total of 9 Christmas Trees living in our house.  One in the living room, one in the attic & two outside.  We’re a household without children, so why is it that we have sooo many Christmas trees?!  Beats me.  They’re pretty I guess.

Here is a glimpse of what Roomie & I have been up to.

The gorgeous trees that were adorned in brown & champagne ornaments have moved outside.  Our neighborhood has a decorating contest and well, our house needed some more pizazz.

The front still looks somewhat bare, but it’s better than last year!

This Giant Green Monster is what Roomie & I acquired yesterday evening.  It’s massive.  I can’t believe it fits in our house.

Since we’re college students, we cheaply decorated our tree.  A tree topper that doubles as a wall decoration.  Tulle from Wal-Mart {so we didn’t have to buy more ornaments}.  And the ornaments from the 2 trees that are now located on the front porch.  What you don’t see is the tree skirt which is just fabric from Hobby Lobby & 2 stars that were tree toppers on the other 2 trees.  Yep, We did GOOD!

Chistmas Time's A Coming!

I finished my tree.  It’s so darn cute too.  Instead of last year’s tree with Gold & Red and 7ft. tall, we have opted for 2 trees 5 1/2ft tall for either sides of our mantle.  Now…if we could just keep Ellie from playing with the ornaments.
