Well it isn’t as fiery as I would have liked, but it turned out great. I spent a whopping 5 hours in the chair having this done. My stylist was thrilled I was beginning to branch out, she had to ask me twice when I told her what I wanted. Then she said I thought that’s what you said, I was just making sure. Yes, this is a big step in how I color my hair. We’ve already got next time planned out and none of it will involve color blocking. I’m not even close to being high maintenance, but color blocking is more than I’m willing to invest (maintenance wise) into my hair. We used some sort of Special Effects in Red. Next time though, it’s going to be brighter. I love my hair, now maybe this’ll be the extra motivation I need to fix it instead of throwing it up in a pony tail every day or scrunching it.
This was sort of a mishap when I left the salon. The red had bled into my blonde, so I had to wash my hair with some special shampoo before I even wanted to take pictures of it. This is directly after I had washed it, so you can see the huge red stripe going through the center of my hair. This was my entire idea and I think it turned out amazing. I love color! Well in my hair that is, I’m not much of a fan of the color red being incorporated into my skin, but I’m dealing with that now. Ice cold aloe vera has done the trick for me so far. The bottle is actually in the fridge, sitting next to my Coconut Rum. Sounds like a Kenny Chesney song, doesn’t it?
Love, Love, Love this. I love the color RED, so it was a must I incorporate it into my hair again. Huge chunks of red in fact. My head was thorougly covered in foil, so much in fact that I thought it would protect me from aliens if they landed right then and there. Oh yes, there was plenty of foil. I actually had it foiled twice. Once with blonde and then again with the red. My hair hadn’t been that blonde since Mom & Delilah had a somewhat huge mishap highlighting my hair years and years ago. Don’t worry so much Mom. I didn’t go overboard on the Fire Engine color. You can see I still have my natural brown hanging around at the bottom. Hopefully you won’t kill me for doing this and instead you’ll just laugh about it instead. Well either that, or you’ll get used to seeing it in photos before you come and visit.
