Papaw got a cute furry baby in July and of course we had to pack up Ellie and take her for a meet & greet. It was a very unexpected surprise for Papaw to get a tiny fur baby, but one weekend while my Aunt & Uncle were down (I was there too), Papaw mentioned it’d be nice to have a Squirrel Dog. Kid you not. Maybe he was thinking/hoping he could turn our Ellie into a Squirrel Dog? That very next weekend, my Uncle showed up with Papaw’s very own Squirrel Dog in training.
Papaw said having a new fur baby to care for would teach him not to open his mouth ever again around my Uncle and that is how the new Chi puppy came to live with Papaw & Delilah. Papaw named her Honey Bee, but Roomie & I refer to her as Hunzee. Little ole’ Hunzee was so tiny, too bad puppies don’t stay like that forever. Ellie wasn’t even that small when we got her, now I have new puppy fever. Here are some pictures with our baby with the new baby.
They were slowly getting aquainted. Roomie and I were a bit cautious, but Paps sure wasn’t. He let Ellie do just about whatever she wanted.
Hunzee wasn’t sure what to think of Ellie. Although, I’m not sure what I would think of something 4x’s bigger than me checking me out. Oh wait, I’ve been to the zoo and guys I’ve dated in the past have always been taller than I am. Maybe I do feel what Hunzee is going through?
Hunzee wasn’t too sure what to think of Ellie. She was nice and cozy on my chest, especially after her bath with Paps. Ellie tucks her paws to her chest just like Hunzee. It was adorable because Hunzee was having puppy dreams, so she’d let out these little whimpers and she’d move her paws. A quick snap of that cute puppy face. Too bad in just a few short months she’ll be the terror of the household. I hope Papaw & Delilah know what they’re in for!
