Happy 2nd Birthday Ellie Mae

Ellie turned 2 today.  Since I actually remembered this year, I decided to do something special for her.  Not like she would know.  But I would & so would all of you.  I promise she’s not spoiled….but there’s a fat chance of ya’ll believing that statement.  Mom doesn’t call her a Diva dog for nothing you know.  She has a huge pet bed and naps all the time, she even sleeps in bed with me at night.

The perfect Birthday Card I searched and searched for.  I went to a few different pet speciality stores looking for something cute for my fur baby.  I wasn’t sure how she’d react or what the printing would do when wet, but I went ahead and spoiled her for the day any way.

She came over and grabbed it out of my hands with her mouth and then layed  down exactly like this.  Suuuuure wish I was kidding.  She’ll do the exact same thing with her BoBo’s or any stuffed animal for that matter.

Then she decided to nap.  I swear she’s part cat.  She’s a constant cat napper.  I bet even when she’s not tired she sleeps.  I can’t even begin to imagine what she does when we’re not home and at school during the day.  Maybe I shouldn’t think about that?

I found Doggie Ice Cream.  I never knew you could make Doggie Ice Cream.  Thanks to a friend who did this for her dog, I was able to get the same thing for Ellie.  I even lit a candle for her.  Although that might not have been the best idea.  I thought it was a good one at the time.

Singing Happy Birthday to the Diva.  She was all excited I was putting food in front of her.  She’s a chow hound and will eat just about anything, including veggies.  I never knew dogs liked veggies, until now.

She was starting to get a little too close to the candle for my comfort, so I quickly extinguished the flame.  I thought about pinning back her ears on account of all of her long hair, but decided to let her chow down on her delicious treat.  I’m sure she was tired of me teasing her.

If I had known what would follow no less than 12hrs after this picture I would have never purchased ice cream for my lovely dog to eat.  Let’s just say it wasn’t pretty and it made me re-think letting the Diva sleep with me at night.  I woke up to an awful stench coming from my bathroom at 5am.  Lucky for me, mom was staying over and helped me clean up Diva’s mess.  Ugh.
